Sell For Real Money, Not A Guess
Sell Pokémon Cards & TCG Singles for Cash
Singles comped $10+ pay 75% cash / 85% store credit, rising to 85% cash and the full 100% comp value in credit at $200+. Under $10 pays less, and bulk-lot commons price separately.
Pokémon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and One Piece — raw or graded, English or Japanese. Priced from a real TCGplayer/PriceCharting comp, then paid out at 75% cash or 85% store credit on cards comped $10+ (cash steps up to 85% and credit to the full comp value on cards comped $200+; lower published tiers under $10, and in bulk lots), your choice either way. Every card is checked for authenticity before it’s ever priced — no manual haggling, no black-box quote.
TCG buyers get burned by fakes more than anyone in this hobby. We built the authentication step into the pricing process itself, not as an afterthought — see exactly what we check for below.

How we get to your offer
Four steps, and the only variable is the comp — never a person’s mood, never a “we’ll see what we can do.”
Tell us the card and condition
Game, set, card number, and condition (or grading company + grade if it's already slabbed). A few photos if you've got them handy.
CAT. #TCG-01We pull the real market comp
Sourced from TCGplayer and PriceCharting sold-price data for that exact card, set, condition, and language — not a guess, not a round number.
CAT. #TCG-02You see the locked math instantly
Comp × 75% cash or comp × 85% credit for cards $10+ comp, your choice — cash steps up to 85% on cards comped $200+. Lower-value singles and bulk-lot commons price on their own published tiers — see the FAQ below.
CAT. #TCG-03Ship it in, get authenticated, get paid
Every card gets checked against known-genuine prints before anything is finalized. If we decline something, it's mailed back at our cost.
CAT. #TCG-04A traditional card shop trade-in vs. published math
This isn’t about any one shop — it’s the general in-person trade-in experience most card sellers already know, compared to what we publish instead.
| Traditional Card Shop | Cart-A-Vision | |
|---|---|---|
| How the rate is set | Assessed in person, case by case — the number can move with staff, mood, or how busy the store is that day | Published formula: 75% cash / 85% credit of real comp for cards $10+ (85% cash on $200+ cards) — lower tiers below that and in bulk lots, published either way |
| Where the price comes from | Usually undisclosed — you're told a number, not the market data behind it | TCGplayer/PriceCharting sold-price comp, same source cited on every /value page |
| Payout choice | Often store credit only, or a meaningfully lower cash rate with no published split | Your choice, every time — cash or credit, 75%/85% on cards $10+, cash up to 85% on $200+ cards |
| Authentication process | Rarely disclosed — you don't see what they're actually checking for | Published, four-stage process below — identity, condition, graded-slab verification, pricing |
| Where you can sell from | In-store only | Ship in from anywhere in the US or Canada, no store visit |
How we authenticate every card
Repro and counterfeit cards are a real problem in this hobby — trading in shouldn’t mean rolling the dice on whether the other side actually checked. Here’s what happens to every single card before it’s priced.
Identification & Authenticity
Every card gets confirmed against the submission (right card, right set, right number), then checked against known-genuine prints. Font and kerning, HP values that actually fit the card's era, holo pattern, card back print quality. Anything that doesn't match gets flagged and priced as what it actually is, never passed off as real.
Condition Inspection
Every card gets checked under real light, by hand: corners, edges, surface, and centering, against the same Near Mint through Damaged standard TCGplayer and the rest of the industry use. Condition never rounds up to make an offer look better than the card actually is.
Graded Card Verification
If a card comes in already graded (PSA, BGS, CGC), we confirm the slab actually matches the card and grade claimed, and check the slab itself for cracks or signs of tampering. A raw card never gets priced as if it were graded, and a mismatched or damaged slab gets flagged before anything else happens.
This is the short version — see the full checklist, plus the same process for games and cartridges, on How We Grade It. For a deeper look at spotting fakes yourself before you ever ship anything, see our card authentication guide.
What “Near Mint, raw” actually means on our listings
Every card is graded against the same Near Mint through Damaged scale TCGplayer and the rest of the industry use — not a house standard we can quietly loosen to make an offer look better.
- Near Mint
- No visible wear.
- Lightly Played
- Very minor edge or surface wear, still displays clean.
- Moderately Played
- Clearly visible scratches or whitening.
- Heavily Played
- Significant wear, but still intact.
- Damaged
- Structural damage: creases, tears, water damage.
- Already graded?
- Give us the company (PSA, BGS, CGC) and the grade — we comp off that instead, once the slab checks out.
What we buy

Common questions about selling TCG cards
Selling Your Cards
Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and One Piece — raw or professionally graded (PSA, BGS, CGC).
The same condition standards TCGplayer and the rest of the industry use. Near Mint = no visible wear. Lightly Played = very minor edge or surface wear, still displays clean. Moderately Played = clearly visible scratches or whitening. Heavily Played = significant wear, but still intact. Damaged = structural damage: creases, tears, water damage. If your card is professionally graded (PSA, BGS, CGC), give us the company and the grade instead and we'll comp off that.
Yes. English, Japanese, and other-language prints are all accepted — tell us the language when you submit and we comp off the matching print, not the English price for a Japanese card.
Yes — PSA, BGS, and CGC slabs. We confirm the slab actually matches the card and grade claimed before pricing it as graded; see How We Grade It for the full check.
Every card gets checked against known-genuine prints (font, cardstock, holo pattern, card back print quality) before it's priced. Full breakdown on our How We Grade It page.
Any item with a comp on file qualifies, no minimum dollar threshold. Titles with no reliable comp data may be passed on. TCG singles comped at $10 or under pay a lower rate (50% cash / 75% credit instead of the standard 75%/85%), so for a handful of low-value cards it's usually worth bundling them into a bulk lot instead of mailing each one in individually. Inside a bulk lot specifically, cards comped under $1 pay a flat 25% cash with no credit option — that tier is built for near-worthless bulk commons, not a discount on anything worth submitting on its own.
