Is there a minimum trade value?

Any item with a comp on file qualifies, no minimum dollar threshold. Titles with no reliable comp data may be passed on. TCG singles comped at $10 or under pay a lower rate (50% cash / 75% credit instead of the standard 75%/85%), so for a handful of low-value cards it's usually worth bundling them into a bulk lot instead of mailing each one in individually. Inside a bulk lot specifically, cards comped under $1 pay a flat 25% cash with no credit option — that tier is built for near-worthless bulk commons, not a discount on anything worth submitting on its own.

Do you buy consoles and accessories, or just games?

Accepted Answer

All of it: consoles, games, and accessories, as long as it's retro hardware or software with a comp on file. We also buy TCG cards: Pokémon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and One Piece, raw or graded. One rate difference: consoles are priced at a flat 55% cash / 75% store credit no matter how high they comp — the 85% high-value bump is games-only.

Question 3

What do CIB, Loose, Box-only, and Manual-only mean?

CIB = Complete In Box (game, box, and manual all present). Loose = cartridge/disc only. Box-only and Manual-only are priced separately, since they're collected on their own.

Question 4

What do Near Mint, Lightly Played, Moderately Played, and Heavily Played mean for cards?

Accepted Answer

The same condition standards TCGplayer and the rest of the industry use. Near Mint = no visible wear. Lightly Played = very minor edge or surface wear, still displays clean. Moderately Played = clearly visible scratches or whitening. Heavily Played = significant wear, but still intact. Damaged = structural damage: creases, tears, water damage. If your card is professionally graded (PSA, BGS, CGC), give us the company and the grade instead and we'll comp off that.

Can I send items in the same box that you might not want?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every item in a multi-item submission is reviewed and priced individually, so you can accept what works and decline what doesn't. There's no all-or-nothing requirement.

Question 6

Do you accept trades from outside the US and Canada?

Accepted Answer

US and Canada for now. The form requires a US or Canadian shipping address; submissions from other countries aren't accepted. Email trades@cart-a-vision.com if you want to ask directly; we don't have a timeline for other countries to share yet.

What if I disagree with the final inspection value?

We document every inspection with photos, condition notes, and board verification when relevant, so you can see the full before-and-after. If something changes from your original quote, you'll see exactly why.

What happens to items you don't want?

Accepted Answer

If we decline an item that's genuinely yours and as described — just not something we want right now, or in rougher shape than expected — it's mailed back at our cost, no obligation, no restocking fee. If what arrives doesn't match what was submitted (different item, counterfeit sent in place of a real one, condition photos that don't reflect reality), the trade doesn't complete and the item isn't returned. We'll always tell you plainly why.

What counts as a mismatch?

Photos and notes that don't reflect what actually shows up — wrong game entirely, a repro or counterfeit submitted as if it were authentic, or damage well beyond what was disclosed. Honest mistakes and genuine condition disagreements aren't mismatches — those still get the standard return-at-our-cost treatment above.

How fast do I get paid?

Inspected and tested within 48 hours of arrival. Value confirmed same day. Store credit issues same day post-inspection when possible. Cash payout within 1 business day of approval.

Every label is tracked and insured to the full comp value of your shipment.

How do you catch repro labels and bootlegs?

How does store credit work?

Issued through our Shopify store credit system, usable on any purchase. Credit expires 12 months from issue, but can roll over depending on account activity.

Can I combine cash and credit on one trade?

No — payout is all cash or all store credit per submission, not split.
